Peony White, also known as Pai Mu Tan, is a delicate white tea from the Fujian province of southern China. This tea is made of very young tea buds and the young leaves that emerge close to the sprout in early spring. As a white tea, there is minimal processing. After harvest, the leaves and buds are withered and dried in the sun, giving it a short time to oxidized. This natural process gives the tea a warm, rich sweetness. This tea proves that white tea is not synonymous with pale flavor! The aroma is floral with a hint of fruit blossoms.
