This house blended chai is the perfect marriage of strong, finely ground black tea and chai spices. The ginger, cloves, cardamom, and other spices add a sweet and spicy flavor to the black tea base. This chai brews a bright amber color that has hint of bitterness, but is still smooth with a sweet and slightly spicy finish. This spicy and flavorful tea can be enjoyed with milk and sugar for a more authentic chai experience.
Instructions:
Basic preparation;
Use 2 teaspoons of tea per 8-12 oz of water. Steep for 2 minutes with boiling water. Add milk and sugar to taste.

If you are interested in a lighter brew try water that is 195 Fahrenheit.

If you are interested in a stronger brew try steeping for 3-4 minutes.

For a traditional Chai experience try brewing a 4-6 serving stovetop batch;
Boil three cups of water in a pot. Add 6 tablespoons tea and spice mix to the boiling water. Simmer for five minutes. Add three cups of your favorite milk and sweeten to taste. Simmer an additional five minutes. Strain the tea and enjoy!
