Focus-Friendly Tea Ice Cubes
A cool way to sip steady energy all day
Looking for a little tea boost without having to brew a cup? We’ve got a strategy for you. Turn strong-brewed tea into cubes, and use the frozen nuggets whenever you seek some tea sustenance. Smoothies. A glass of seltzer water. A cocktail. Each nugget will deliver a whisper, rather than a wallop, of caffeine. Perfect for all-day tea engagement!
Ingredients
- 3 cups filtered water
- 3 Tbsp loose-leaf Anji White (or Silver Needle White) tea
- Optional: a few fresh mint leaves, or thin slices of lemon
Instructions
- Heat water to 175°F (not boiling — you want it just below).
- Steep the tea for 3 minutes. Strain out the leaves.
- Let the tea cool to room temperature.
- Pour into an ice cube tray. Add a mint leaf or lemon slice to each cube if desired.
- Freeze until solid.
To Use
- Drop into sparkling water for a refreshing pick-me-up.
- Blend into smoothies for a caffeine-theanine boost.
- Toss into a glass of cold brew (coffee or tea) to layer in gentle focus without watering it down.
Why It Works
Anji White (or Silver Needle) carries a sweet, delicate flavor with a naturally calming amino acid, theanine. Paired with a little caffeine, these cubes deliver clarity and calm that melt slowly into your day.
