Dong Ding

Description:
Dong Ding, which means “Frozen Summit,” is a famous Formosa (Taiwanese) Oolong. The leaves are hand-picked with some of the stems attached, which makes for a sweeter infusion. This fragrant tea has a full-bodied taste that is lightly sweet with a hint of fruitiness and very smooth.

Origin:
Nan Tou, Taiwan

Dry Leaves:
Green, tightly rolled leaves with stems

Infusion:
Bright golden jade color

Dong Ding

Brewing guide:
2 tbsp for a 8 to 10 oz cup
212f (boiling)
1.5 to 2 minutes, multiple brews

Gong Fu Style:
Using a Yi Xing tea pot or a Gai Wan, put in leaves (about 8g) to cover the bottom of the pot; rinse once using boiling water. Steep quickly and strain out the infusion to a pitcher and pour into smaller cups. Good for multiple steepings.

Anonymous: Definitely read the instructions. Fantastic! It just feels good; its hard to describe. While similar in earthiness, its quite different from Tie Guan Yin Superior.
