Gaiwans - small lidded bowls - are the traditional Chinese way to enjoy fine whole leaf teas as they flower out the best in those wide rimmed vessels. The method allows re-steeping the same tea leaves multiple times for the freshest cup, unfolding with each infusion different taste experience.

Outside beautifully decorated with blue fish pattern, this gaiwan is white on the inside which allows the best background for the leaves and the infusion.
