Creativity and Tea: Companions for Centuries<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Tea and creativity enjoy close and durable bonds. Poets, writers, scientists, scholars, sculptors\u2014all who pursue creative endeavors have engaged with the glories of tea. The beverage offers small, yet powerful, jolts of stimulation. A painter at her easel savors the insights that tea helps deliver\u2014and so does the scientist for the occasional \u201ca ha!\u201d moments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But so many things inform our creative energies. One of them? Seasons. That first whisper of fall\u2014the cool breeze, leaves just beginning to drift away from green. Spring\u2019s dance with summer\u2014that morning when you wake up, slip into flip-flops and shorts, and realize that, at least for this day, profound warmth will prevail.<\/p>\n\n\n

And then there\u2019s late February. It\u2019s winter\u2014the depths of winter. Yet sometimes spring whispers into the season\u2019s cold chambers, bringing with it reminders of the big thaw to come. And as it’s the calendar\u2019s shortest month, it plays footsie with the flower-spangled and green world that\u2019s just around the corner. And persuades us to dive into seasonal creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes tea and creativity turn us toward writers. We have blends that align with fantasy novels. Teas that embody mystery\u2014Agatha Christie<\/mark><\/a>-style!\u2014and that also compel us to read, if not write, haiku poems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teas for Creativity: Smoky Dragon Tea<\/mark><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n

So many cultures conjured dragons\u2014and so many writers, including Tolkien, enthroned dragons as especially powerful and meaningful fantasy beings. The connection to this tea? Smoke!
